Crystal Safety Glass Sdn Bhd, founded by Datuk Tan Seng Huat in 1992, faced severe financial setbacks during the Asian Financial Crisis in 1997. However, an unexpected opportunity arose when two containers of glass were offered as debt settlement. Tan saw potential in using the glass for construction materials, transforming the company’s focus from glassware trading to glass manufacturing. Today, Crystal Safety Glass continues to thrive, diversifying into green products and expanding its operations globally, with an expected new factory in Shah Alam by 2018.

With 18 years of experience within Crystal Group, Yi Shin began her career in various key roles, including Invoice Management, Customer Service Oversight, Operations Management, and Quality Assurance. Her exceptional performance and dedication led her to progressively more significant positions, culminating in her current role as CFO.

As CFO, Yi Shin oversees the organisation’s financial planning, analysis, risk management, and reporting. She has implemented initiatives that enhanced financial performance, including cost management strategies and an integrated reporting system.
