On 18th January 2025, Crystal Group hosted its highly anticipated Annual Dinner 2025, under the theme “A Night of Purple Elegance,” bringing together 210 staff members and foreign workers for an unforgettable evening of celebration and camaraderie.

The event embraced the company’s signature colour, purple, creating an elegant atmosphere that reflected Crystal Group’s values of innovation, luxury, and creativity. The evening kicked off with an inspiring speech from CEO Frank Tan, who highlighted the company’s significant achievements over the past year, showcasing growth both locally and internationally.

In his speech, Frank Tan shared, “2024 has been a truly remarkable year for Crystal Group. We’ve expanded our global presence, launched new product innovations, and solidified our leadership in the glass industry. But beyond these accomplishments, it’s been a year of unity, where we’ve come together as one team to shape a brighter future.”

Chairman Dato’ Seri Michael Tan Seng Huat also addressed the gathering, expressing his delight at the company’s first truly grand annual dinner since its establishment. He emphasised that the event was a testament to the growth and unity that Crystal Group has achieved. Dato’ Seri Michael Tan reflected on the company’s journey from humble beginnings to becoming a leader in the glass industry.

“This evening marks a significant milestone for Crystal Group,” said Dato’ Seri Michael Tan. “It is our first large-scale Annual Dinner since we were established, and I’m extremely proud of how far we’ve come. The success we celebrate today is the result of the dedication and hard work of every single one of you here. Tonight, we celebrate our shared journey and the team spirit that continues to propel us forward.” He also shared his excitement for the future, with even greater milestones ahead.

Looking to the future, Frank Tan unveiled the company’s ambitious plans, including the construction of a 3-storey hostel for foreign workers to ensure comfortable and secure living arrangements. He also shared the exciting news of a new warehouse being developed on the adjacent lot, while on the current lot, the company will be expanding with a new showroom and office, both set to be completed later this year.

The night continued with a lavish dinner, live entertainment, and a thrilling 101 lucky draws that kept everyone on the edge of their seats. Employees had the chance to win exciting prizes, adding an element of excitement to the evening.

The festivities also included an awards ceremony to honour long-serving employees for their unwavering loyalty and dedication. The following awards were presented:

Tan Yi Shin was appointed as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Crystal Group in 2018, bringing with her extensive experience in finance and operations. She graduated with a BA (Hons) in Accounting from the University of Portsmouth, United Kingdom in 2006.

With 18 years of experience within Crystal Group, Yi Shin began her career in various key roles, including Invoice Management, Customer Service Oversight, Operations Management, and Quality Assurance. Her exceptional performance and dedication led her to progressively more significant positions, culminating in her current role as CFO.

As CFO, Yi Shin oversees the organisation’s financial planning, analysis, risk management, and reporting. She has implemented initiatives that enhanced financial performance, including cost management strategies and an integrated reporting system. Yi Shin actively aligns financial strategies with operational goals, ensuring Crystal Group remains competitive and sustainable in the market.
